Land Management Group (LMG) has provided environmental consulting services throughout the Southeast for over 30 years. Our mission simply is based on solving our clients’ environmental needs in the most honest, scientific, and efficient manner.
Our team is comprised of an interdisciplinary staff of professionals with expertise in wetland science, geology, soil science, marine biology, ecological restoration, and environmental engineering. By combining regulatory knowledge and technical skills, we are able to solve both common and difficult environmental issues facing our clients. Over time, our strong work ethic and dedication to scientific accuracy has made LMG a leader in compensatory mitigation, ecological restoration, environmental assessment, mapping, monitoring, and permitting.
In 2018, Land Management Group (LMG) was acquired by Davey Resource Group, Inc. Since that time, we have maintained the LMG brand as we continued to serve our clients throughout the Carolinas. We are excited to announce that as of January 2022, our brand name has transitioned to Davey Resource Group, Inc. (“DRG”). Although we have changed our brand, we are not changing our high-quality service offerings nor our commitment to an excellent client experience. Under the DRG brand, we will be able to offer our clients a wider array of services, access to even more experts, and broader service geography.

Our drones are used to provide aerial reconnaissance on large site evaluations, document extreme weather events such as flooding, record project milestones, and progress, provide commercial opportunities to clients, and keep our employees safe in the field.
We have several years of experience operating drones and have passed several formal and informal testing procedures administered by the Federal Aviation Administration, all while remaining up to date on the latest rules and regulations regarding safe drone operation.
Our team performs all aspects of the soils, agronomy, and geologic evaluations required for projects including, soil fertility studies, nutrient balances, water balances, hydraulic conductivity measurements (saturated and unsaturated zones), and sophisticated computer groundwater modeling with Visual MODFLOW.
DRG routinely performs "All Appropriate Inquiry" Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) utilizing the current ASTM Standard E1527-13 to help the prospective client obtain the Innocent Landowners Defense under CERCLA. DRG has highly qualified Environmental Professionals on staff that have performed numerous Phase I ESAs at large undeveloped tracts, residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
In the event that a Phase I ESA determines that possible recognized environmental conditions may exist at a site, we can also assist the client by performing a Phase II ESA in compliance with ASTM E1903-11 to determine if there are environmental liabilities at the property.
Our Ecological Restoration team can provide turn-key services for wetland and stream restoration, enhancement, and preservation.
We routinely perform mitigation feasibility assessments to determine if a property is suitable for ecological restoration including mitigation (i.e. replacement of wetland and stream functions to offset authorized impacts).
We specialize in site selection, design, permitting, construction management, planting, and monitoring for mitigation banks, in-lieu fee programs, and permittee-responsible mitigation. We can also assist clients in identifying and procuring mitigation banking credits.
If your project is requiring mitigation credits within the greater Wilmington area, please contact us at 910-452-0001 or visit the sites below for more information:
