What is Sudden Oak Death?
Sudden Oak Death (SOD) is a fungal infection caused by a water mold known as Phytophthora ramorum.
How does it spread?
The SOD spores can disseminate from wet weather like blowing rain or flowing water.
There are several oak species that are susceptible to SOD:
